How to Declutter Your Home with Schlafly

On Saturday, May 26th, The Schlafly Tap Room will host a brand new one centered about a garage sale and pig roast. The event, cleverly titled PORK SHOP, will allow local residents to sell their gently used stuff to festival attendees who can shop, haggle, and hunt for that hidden bargain. At the end of the day, vendors can easily donate anything they have left to Goodwill, whose onsite donation station will take acceptable donations.

The Ghost of Robert Burns Returns To The Schlafly Tap Room

For those of you who wonder what Robert Burns is most famous for, think about that song everyone sings on New Year’s Eve. That’s correct! Burns’ Night is our annual, extraordinary celebration of the life, works and spirit of the great Scottish poet, Robert Burns (1759-1796). A Twenty-Year Perspective

I realized last weekend that we passed an important milestone in our company history: The first brew at The Saint Louis Brewery was December 10th, 1991; it was a Wheat Ale, which at the time was brewed to yield both the Hefeweizen as we know it, and the filtered version that we called Wheat Ale.

The 3rd Annual Henry Herbst St. Louis Craft Beer Symposium

This coming Sunday marks the third year that Schlafly Bottleworks has played host to a very special event, the Henry Herbst St. Louis Craft Beer Symposium.  Part of St. Louis Craft Beer Week and named for St. Louis beer historian, author, collector and dear friend of the brewery, Henry Herbst who is sadly no longer with us, this unique event will feature a panel discussion and Q & A with St. Louis beer industry professionals about the “State of Craft Beer” in St. Louis and beyond moderated by St. Louis Public Radio News Producer, Adam Allington.

This coming Friday and Saturday marks the return of Belgian Beer & Mussel Mania to the Schlafly Tap Room; our annual festival where we cook up close to 2000 fresh mussels (“moules”) flown in direct from Penn Cove Shellfish Co. in Penn Cove, WA. and wash them down with an assortment of Belgian style beers brewed right here in downtown St. Louis, MO.
