Special Release Mayan IPA

The ancient Mayans predicted the end of the world on December 21st, 2012, so we did what any brewery worth their salt would do and we set out to create a beer for everyone to drink on their last day on planet earth. Who wouldn’t want a Mayan-themed, specially made beer to celebrate the end of the world?

Craft Or Crafty? Consumers Deserve To Know The Truth

The Brewers Association, the not-for-profit trade association dedicated to small and independent American craft brewers, issued the following statement today regarding the increase in production and promotion of craft-like beers by large, non-craft breweries: Beer has had roots in this country for centuries. Virtually every Founding Father either made or enjoyed it. Today, thanks to the ingenuity of small and independent brewers, the U.S. has moved beyond offering only light American lager and now has more beer styles and brands to choose from than any other market in the world...

Coming Soon To Little Rock, Arkansas!

We recieve a lot of emails, tweets, Facebook posts, smoke signals, etc. from fans not in our 300 mile Dedicated Distribution Area asking when Schlafly Beer will be available for purchase in their neck of the woods. And almost always, with a heavy heart, I have to tell them that our capacity is currently maxed out at our two breweries and that there won’t be any major expansion to our distribution footprint in the near future.

Luckily, the wait paid off!

Minding Our Brewery

Independent Brewers, often described today as Craft Brewers, are all thinking about brewing new beers, brewing more beer, selling more beer and how to market their beers.  The how to make more beer or building “brewing capacity” and the how to develop the “selling and marketing capacity” have and continue to be two critical issues facing Craft Brewers.  Craft Brewers are facing big decisions at a time when there is plenty of uncertainty.

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. While visitors to Las Vegas often rely on this axiom while frolicking on The Strip, the protective shield of omerta isn’t 100% effective, as Britain’s Prince Harry recently…
