Schlafly Beer. Brewed in St. Louis.

Schlafly's Eclipse Field Trip

On August 21, 2017, the United States will experience its first coast-to-coast solar eclipse since 1918. For those living in the Midwest, it will be the first time this part of the country has been able to witness such a sight in centuries. The last total eclipse to be seen in St. Louis was almost 550 years before anyone had ever tried a Schlafly, in 1442.

This summer, we’ve designed some commemorative packaging to celebrate the Path of Totality - the path of the eclipse that will experience total darkness. Inside special edition 12 packs of Helles Lager, you’ll find  a pair of solar glasses that will help you watch the phenomenon happen safely, while you and your friends raise a Schlafly Beer to this once in a lifetime event. We’ll see you on the other side. Cheers!

While the special edition packaging will run all summer, Schlafly will also pack up the party on eclipse day itself, August 21st, with Schlafly’s Eclipse Field Trip. Come join us on a field trip to the Dew Drop Inn in Bloomsdale, Missouri to celebrate this historic event. We picked this location for our backyard BBQ because it is along the Path of Totality and the perfect viewing spot of the eclipse.
