Chickens can be fun and practical pets that truly earn their keep, but it’s important to know what responsibilities are involved for the safety and sustainability of your flock. Join us to learn from Purina Animal Nutrition’s Dr. Gordon Ballam’s 30 years of experience working in animal nutrition research, including raising chickens and other poultry, so that you are equipped to to launch a chicken keeping hobby confidently and responsibly. Topics will include basic care considerations including shelter, food, and water needs, predator protection, common health concerns, hen selection, growth and development, and egg production and storage.
