Other cities have craft beer festivals. Why not Springfield?
It was a casual conversation between a few local Springfield business owners, who then realized that, with a little bit of teamwork, they could make it happen.
The organizers simply wanted to bring a quality beer fest to Springfield, support Midwest craft brewers, and have a good time! In addition, they decided to donate all profits to a local Springfield or Sangamon County charity.
The first Springfield Oyster and Beer Festival, held September 11, 2010, was a great success, and so much fun, they decided to do it again!
The 2013 event will again feature local and nationally-recognized craft beer vendors, oysters, other seafood selections, and traditional “pub grub,” too.
Once again, the SOB Festival will be held in the parking lot of The Inn at 835. Rain or shine, we invite you to join us for excellent craft beer, great good, first-rate entertainment, and help us support our community, too.
