Edward Ricart (guitar + bass) is half of the Washington DC-based free-rock duo Matta Gawa, and has worked with members of rockers Fugazi, Pinback, Bardo Pond, the Acid Mothers Temple, and Tortoise, as well as free jazzers Peter Brotzmann, Roy Campbell, Steve Swell, Herb Robertson, Jason Ajemian, William Hooker, and Marshall Allen (of the Sun Ra Arkestra), among many others.
