Calling all Trekkies, Jedi, hobbits, cylons, Whovians, witches, wizards, and Whedonites. The best book swap in all of fandom is back!
The Young Literati of the St. Louis Public Library Foundation will be swapping books and geeking out over drinks and appetizers at Schlafly Tap Room on May 12. Featuring special guests from The Nerdy Girls Society, the swap will commence at 6pm, timey-wimey standard time. So bring your sci-fi, your fantasy, your comic books, your paranormal and dystopian novels – all geek-related literature is welcome! Join us - resistance is futile!
Not a fan of geek media? Don’t panic! Newbies are welcome too. Bring a book you’re willing to part with and maybe you’ll leave with something you’re excited about. You don’t have to be a member of the Young Literati to attend, but maybe you’ll want to join after you get to know us.
The Young Literati of the St. Louis Public Library Foundation are a dynamic group of young professionals in their 20s, 30s, and 40s who are committed to growing a vibrant, literary St. Louis. No power in the ‘verse can stop us.

Nerdy Girls Society (NGS) is a 501c3 nonprofit focused on empowering women through educational events, classes, and workshops. As nerd and geek communities – like the tech field, comic conventions, and social media – are increasingly becoming hostile to women, NGS provides safe spaces for women through their mission to foster a women-focused community of nerds to learn, be creative, and gain confidence.
