This incredibly dynamic St. Louis-based drummer can be found playing in various settings from jazz combos, a noisey synthesizer and drums duo with Kevin Harris, to performing at the Drummers Only benefit concert, held at the Luminary, for International Institute St. Louis who has been providing assistance to Syrian refugees. https://vimeo.com/49358292
His tape ‘405 Skies’ on Columbia, MO label Dismal Niche features moody and atmospheric electronics with thumping bass and crisp drum programming bleeding through a spectrum of ambient textures and muted hues.
A collaboration between Endless Planets (Cherokee Streets latest record store) owners Scott Trausch and Jeff Michael, with Scott on drum machine and bass synth (Korg Volcas) and Jeff on synthesizer (MiniKorg-700) and sampler (Roland SP-404SX).
Jeff also currently hosts a world jazz and experimental show called ‘Blues Mind Matter’ on international online radio station Frission Radio, and has previously worked with experimental collective Really Cool Plants based in Austin, TX.
Scott has been producing music and DJing under various pseudonyms (MAXXX DRAMA, Boy$horts, TRN.DWN.SVC, Scotty Starlite and Tee Severity) in both St. Louis and New York City, where he hosted a weekly FM mix show, BodyShine, on WNYU. Since returning to St. Louis from NYC, his efforts have been focused on his house venue and regular monthly party Mall Life.
