HOUSE OF BRUNETTES hail from Chicago, and busted out of their basement-mushroom farm in late 2014 with the over-stuffed 50 song epic: Life In Stereo. Then they wrote almost that many more. …The surfeit of songs are written and sung by Steve Lindstrom, with Mike Ritt b-voxing, playing drums and (on the recordings) almost every other instrument he has ever owned. Rob Novak adds lead guitar and Kevin Brady does the bass, b-vox, and this Chicago-Irish impersonation you have to hear and see to believe. Beyond that it’s Teles, Strats, P90’s, Traynor & Fender amps, Gretsch Drums and a Jazz bass — all spun through a Blomsness Tilt-A-Whirl of Midwestern myth, mirth, and mayhem. Loud, Lounge-y, and a tad or two too Literate, you’ll totally get it after your second martini kicks in.
THE JANS PROJECT are a midwestern rock band from St. Louis, MO and Champaign-Urbana, IL. Catchy, muscular tunes, their sound has been described as sinewy and angular. Some short songs, some long. Bass drums two guitars vocals.
