October 8: Claverach Farm & Vineyard Eureka, MO
Sam Hilmer and Joanna Duley's small family business in the Eureka, Missouri area, Claverach (Welsh for clover fields) raises organic produce in the rich Meramec River valley and grapes on the limestone bluffs of the Ozark hills overlooking the valley. Sam and Joanna will show slides of their farm and discuss sustainable farming techniques and their goal of producing the highest possible quality vegetables, eggs and wines from their land. The long lines at their stand every week at our Market attest to their success in doing so.

It has long been our desire to incorporate as many environmental ("green") considerations as possible into the operations of our breweries and restaurants. Issues such as minimizing waste, heat recovery, composting and recycling are being addressed as our company moves forward.
For now, here's how YOU can help:
RECYCLE
Take pride in recycling your Schlafly packaging...the cardboard cartons of our cases, the paperboard of our 6-pack cartons, our newsletter, and our glass bottles are all recyclable (for more information on our 6-pack cartons see below).
Check with your local municipality about curbside recycling and other options which may be conveniently available to you.
