Brewery Tours at Schlafly Bottleworks
The Tank Farm

Beer the way it used to be The year 1991 saw the opening of the first brewpub in St. Louis, and twelve successful years later St. Louis has its first new bottling brewery since the end of Prohibition: Schlafly Bottleworks. Now craft beer fans can see where and how their beer is made, just minutes from downtown St. Louis.

Don't know a grist mill from a pepper mill, a fermentation tank from a gas tank? Take our free, guided tour and learn how we handcraft each batch of Schlafly Beer. From the milling and mashing of grains, to the production and fermentation of wort, to the filtration and bottling of beer, you'll witness the fascinating art of brewing. Our tour includes a tasting of our delicious Schlafly Beers and features an exhibit dedicated to the rich brewing history of the city of St. Louis.

Choice ingredients, small batches, skill and dedication to “beer the way it used to be” – these are the hallmarks of Schlafly Beer. Come see (and taste!) for yourself.
